RockFig Safari Lodge is privately owned and run by Glen and Bruce Jenkins, who first visited the lowveld of Timbavati during the mid-1990s. Many years later, they decided to purchase some farmland in the area, which is now the site of the luxury lodge. It’s one of the newest properties in the wildlife-rich game reserve, but it has already received rave reviews! Accommodation is booked on a full-board basis, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, daily safari activities in the Timbavati, transfers between the lodge and the local airstrip, Wi-Fi, and a laundry service. The lodge can be booked on an exclusive basis for a maximum of eight persons

The lodge features just six chalet-type suites, making it ideal for exclusive bookings for families or a group of friends. The elements of the reserve come through strongly in each room inspired by the purple and green hues of local birds and plants. Each suite expresses comfort and luxury by featuring both indoor and outdoor showers, a private veranda ideal for romantic candlelit dinners, a mini bar and bath. The aim is always to delight the guests but also an unmissable sense that it’s the natural beauty of the Timbavati bushveld that is the true hero.

Here you can view the Big Five and other endangered species such as the Wild Dog and Cheetah in their natural environment. All the big game is here including rhino, elephants, buffalo, zebras, antelopes, as well as leopard, lion, hyena. Bird watching is good particularly during the rainy season.

Children of any age are welcome, subject to the following room-sharing options and rates:

One child 0 - 5 years sharing with one or two adults will stay free of charge

One child 6 - 16 years sharing with one or two adults will be charged 50% of the adult sharing rate

Children 6 - 16 years in their own room (maximum three children per room) will be charged as per the below:

- 1st child: full adult rate

- 2nd child: 50% of adult rate

- 3rd child: 50% of adult rate
