Makanyi Private Game Lodge

Built from native wood, thatch, and stone, this modern home complements the scenic surroundings and takes full advantage of the expansive views across a dam, which naturally attracts the wild residents of the reserve. The eight opulent chalets feature elegant African design and light, muted tones. You are welcome to relax on your own deck and take in the sights and sounds of nature. There are two honeymoon suites among the chalets, each with an own plunge pool. Savour meals on the deck or by the pool, and have delectable dinners in the boma beneath the stars.

A ranger will identify passing satellites and the Southern Hemisphere's constellations. While exhilarating wildlife drives with knowledgeable rangers are undoubtedly available, the Makanyi proprietors are also ready to arrange additional activities. Take a helicopter trip, whisper with the elephants, zip line or connect with Jessica, the world's sweetest hippo. Please note that these activities require advance booking and separate payment.
