Bateleur Safari Camp - Timbavati Safari Lodges

Bateleur Safari Camp lies in South Africa’s Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, with unfenced borders to Kruger National Park for free wildlife movement. The surrounding wilderness supports the Big Five, many antelope species, smaller predators, and over 500 bird species, set in rolling Lowveld landscapes with Acacia woodlands and riverine forests. All guests receive a safety briefing on arrival to enjoy this untamed environment responsibly.

The camp’s central wooden deck holds the lounge and dining areas and overlooks the riverbed and its seasonal waterhole, offering relaxed game viewing and meals in the bush. A chemical‑free pool extends from the deck, allowing guests to cool off while still watching wildlife. A starlit boma with a central fireplace and an adjacent braai area provide evening gathering spots around the fire.

Accommodating up to 16 guests, the camp features spacious safari units with thatched roofs, canvas walls, en‑suite bathrooms, comfy beds, mosquito nets, solar‑powered fans and lamps, storage, safes, and plug points for charging. Bathrooms include flush toilets, basins, and hot‑water showers, with some units adding an interior bath and private outdoor shower.
