Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at the Timbavati Nature Reserve

Take a flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Hoedspruit Airport to start your journey in Johannesburg. After being greeted upon your arrival in Hoedspruit, you will have a brief transfer to the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve and the Simbavati River Lodge, where you will spend five days experiencing the African bushveld in opulent comfort.

Days 2-4: Experience the Simbavati Safari 

Game drives at dawn and dusk are available. Together with your ranger, who will record the sights you wish to view on your South African safari, enjoy exploring the wide-open spaces of the wilderness. If your goal is to document sightings with a camera, your guide, who is frequently an enthusiastic photographer, will be aware of your needs and courteous. Before heading back to the lodge for breakfast, there is a stop for refreshments on the morning drive.

You have the remainder of the day to do as you like.

You can have a memorable game-viewing experience in between game drives by simply relaxing on the terrace and watching the wildlife come and go from the waterhole directly below the dining deck. You might unwind in your accommodation or by the pool before lunch.

Following high tea, your ranger will use a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals as you return to the lodge from the evening drive, which stops for private sundowners at a picturesque location along the route.

Day 5: The Final Day of your trip

This is the last day of your Timbavati safari. You'll say goodbye to the African bush after breakfast and an activity in the morning. Return to Hoedspruit Airport after leaving Timbavati Private Game Reserve in order to catch your next flight to Johannesburg.
