5 Day Kruger Park and Sabi Sands Safari Experience - Information
This adventure-filled 5-day Kruger Park and Sabi Sand Safari starts with collection from the Johannesburg International Airport, or your accommodation in the area (or in Nelspruit). We leave the vibrant city of Johannesburg, travelling northeast to the renowned Greater Kruger in an air-conditioned and safe vehicle.
Our journey takes us to Tydon Safari Camp, located just outside the famous Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, at the Shaw’s Gate entrance.
Freshen up after check-in, before we head into the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on our thrilling sunset game drive. The Sabi Sand Private Reserve is famous for offering outstanding leopard encounters and sightings of other wild animals at close range.
We use open 4×4 safari vehicles on our game viewing drives in both Kruger Park and Sabi Sand Parks.
Our sunset to evening game viewing drive is a great opportunity to spot some of the nocturnal wildlife found in the area. We arrive back at Tydon Camp after dark to be welcomed by a campfire in the outdoor boma area.
Enjoy some drinks as you sit back around the campfire before dinner. The evening meal is served in the boma beneath starry skies, or in the thatched dining area.
After dinner you can laze beside the glowing campfire and get an early night, before our first full day exploring the African bush.
Dinner Included
We get up bright and early this morning to be met by the untamed bush in the golden morning light.
Morning coffee/tea is enjoyed in the dining area before we venture into Kruger National Park, the leading safari destination in South Africa. Our 4×4 game drives follow the best routes for wildlife sightings, improving your chances of sighting the Big Five animals of Africa and the abundant wildlife of Kruger.
We head back to Tydon Safari Camp after our morning drive to satisfy our appetites with a tasty brunch.
Between 12:30 and 14:00 a light lunch is served in the dining area at camp and at around 14:30 we set off on a rewarding game drive in Kruger National Park. Game viewing in open 4×4 vehicles allows you to experience the bush first-hand and get up close to the incredible wildlife of Africa.
Our experienced and knowledgeable guides are happy to answer questions on the game drives, ensuring that you gain as much insight into Kruger and Sabi Sand as possible. Returning to the safari camp pre-dinner drinks will be served around the campfire, followed by a well-prepared dinner. Kick back and relax under the canopy of stars, recounting the adventures of your day in the African bush, or head to your comfortable tented room for a good night’s rest.

We usually get up close to the wildlife on our game drives, giving you excellent chances to take great photographs in the African bush.
Returning to camp after sunset, we find chilled beverages waiting in the boma, where the campfire is already going. Share a juicy meal in the Boma under the stars, or in the dining area. Then sit back and take in the night sounds of the untamed bush.
