Simbavati Trails Camp

The architecture of Trails Camp is modelled after traditional African forms, providing a genuine link with the surrounding environments. Every element captures the essence of Africa, from the shared fire pit where stories of the day's sightings are exchanged beneath the starry sky to the wooden deck overlooking the seasonal riverbed, ideal for sundowners.
Indulge in luxury and simplicity in the roomy Meru tents at Simbavati. You are greeted by unexpected elegance and attentiveness at every turn as soon as you enter. A homely yet cosy ambiance is created by the traditional yet cosy furnishings, even in the middle of the African bushveld. Every tent serves as a standalone haven. The back door opens to an en suite 'bathroom to the stars' that includes a classic bucket shower with hot water on demand, a basin with water and an eco-friendly compostable toilet. A refreshing feeling is having a shower outside under the open sky. Every tent comes with a mosquito net to provide a restful, uninterrupted night's sleep. After a day of exploration, a cool box filled with milk and soft drinks is available for a refreshing treat. It's vital to remember that there is no cell phone coverage, electricity, or Wi-Fi in this area. This was done on purpose to urge visitors to put down their electronics and spend more time with each other and environment.
Going on a walking safari at Simbavati Trails Camp allows you to see the African bush from a whole different perspective. Walking safaris, which offer a closer relationship with nature than game drives, are comprehensive experiences guided by armed, highly trained guides. You will be experiencing the wilderness with all of your senses. There's time to stop and take in the subtleties of the bush because the pace is leisurely. You will learn amazing facts about termite mounds, anthills, animal spoor, plants, trees, and their traditional and therapeutic uses. It's an exhilarating, reassuring, and always educational experience. Without the hum of the motor, you tune into the symphony of the bush, from the melodies of the songbirds to the crackling of branches that give away the presence of distant elephants feasting. As you see animals in its natural habitat, you'll feel a strong sense of connection to nature under the guidance of our knowledgeable walking guides. Large animal encounters are always conceivable. But the goal is to watch from a safe distance, showing consideration for the species and relishing the excitement of this unique experience.
Simbavati Trails Camp welcomes children aged 16 years and older.
